Watch out for are so called "MLM Business Opportunity"
Although there are many quality MLM companies, and there are many great sponsors who will help you gain a foothold in the business; scams abound.
One way to tell if the offer is a scan is to examine the product that the company is selling.
If all the company is selling is a "business" be careful!
The first clue on your "scam radar" should be a lack of product information. If the promotion fails to mention what product you are actually investing in, this is probably a variation on a "pyramid scheme."
With a pyramid scheme, only the people at the top "make a killing," and the people who got in first make a bit of money. The people who join later fund the profits for the "Upline."
Another clue is the length of time that the company has been in operation." How could all those associates be making such high yearly incomes if the company has been in business for only a week?
How may MLM companies that once promised huge, lifetime incomes have disappeared from the radar screen?
If these companies were such big money makers with guaranteed lifetime profit potential, what went wrong?
